Scripture Reading - 2 Peter 1:5-8 "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound , they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. "
We are told in today's scripture make every effort to add virtue to faith, knowledge to virtue, and temperance or steadfastness to knowledge. Being steadfast is a quality that is difficult to make effort towards. It is not easy, and it definately is not painless. We sometimes are not able to look past our present circumstances in order to see the end result of our struggles. Our prayers are usually to ask God to relieve us from our burdens, that things will lighten up for us. We need to seek that God would develop His character in us through every circumstance. We need to learn to have full trust in Him, knowing that there is nothing that can happen to us that does not first pass by the mind of the Lord. It is usually through the most difficult times in our lives that God is best able to develop His character in us. Today I want everyone that is facing difficult circumstances in your life to take comfort in the fact that God does indeed hear you as you cry out to Him. Be steadfast in seeking Him and His answers. It quite possible can be that God is delaying His answer because He is developing character in you. Hold on, God is in control.
Be Blessed and Live in the NOW!!!
